Comprehensive Assistance (to help you become MCS accredited)
This package is aimed at suitably qualified plumbers, gas engineers, electricians, and FGAS engineers (those with nationally recognised training qualifications in installation and maintaining air and ground source heat pumps) who require a full assistance package to become MCS accredited.
Our Comprehensive Assistance package includes:
- Application to join NAPIT competent persons body ( 1 year subscription*).
- Application to join RECC consumer code (1 year subscription*).
- Create Quality Management System (QMS) structure (PClip - 1 year subscription*).
- Produce design and specification for first installation (the installation you will be audited on to gain your MCS accreditation).
- Provide all supporting paperwork required by the QMS between installer and customer including;
- Enquiry Form
- Overstay Form
- Heat Pump Survey
- Cancellation Form
- Express request
- Variation of Contract
- Workmanship Warranty
- Commissioning Checklist
- Heat Pump Performance Estimate after Site Survey
- Site Risk Assessment
- Site Method Statement
- Provide all supporting design criteria required under the standard including;
- Room by Room Heat Loss Calculations
- Heat Pump Design Calculations
- Domestic Hot Water Calculation
- System Performance Estimate
- Heat Emitter Calculation
- Noise Calculation
- Heat Pump Quotation
- Ground Loop Calculation (if Ground Source Heat Pump)
- Issue MCS contract between you and your customer detailing breakdown of main materials and installation charges.
- Application for DNO approval.
- Pre-commissioning site visit to check installation meets MCS compliance.
- Documents processed through QMS system and uploaded to your online portal.
- Issue handover pack to your customer.
- Issue MCS certificate and workmanship insurance onto MCS online portal.
- Office visit to your premises on day of MCS audit to assist with desktop audit.
- Following audit, resolution of any non-compliance established during desktop audit.
At the end of this process, you will be MCS accredited for either Contracting and Design, or Contract only.
*By purchasing this package, you agree to an initial payment for one full year subscription. After one year and annually thereafter, you will be billed a recurring annual subscription renewal fee at the then-current annual subscription rate.
